How are points calculated?
3 - 5 exhibitors points for 1st through 6th are: 10, 6, 4, 2, 1, .5
6 - 9 exhibitors earn 1 extra point= 11, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1.5
10+ exhibitors earn 2 extra points= 12, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2.5
Champion= 10 points and Reserve Champion=6 points
There are no bonus points for champion or reserve.
How are Champion and Reserve Calculated?
-For divisions that are flat only classes, the rider/animal with the most points will earn champion, and the second most will earn reserve champion. In the event of a tie, a coin toss or hack-off can be used to determine the winner.
- For divisions with over fences classes, the top four point earners are eligible for champion or reserve champion. The most points earn champion, the second most point earner will be reserve. In the event of a tie, total points over fences are used to break the tie.
- Short Stirrup and Long Stirrup will be based on the horse. While the walk trot class will not be used to calculate champion or reserve, the walk trot class will be counted in class totals for year end placings.
